ChocoNat Acti-Cacao™ received approval of the European Commission to make this health claim, empowering its customers to fulfill the needs of health-conscious consumers. The health claim is authorized in the European Union and the first on organic chocolate or cacao worldwide. Given the official EU approved health claim, we can safely state that chocolate and cacao powder with cacao flavanols help maintain healthy blood circulation and can play a supporting role in the cardiovascular system.

We have succeeded in preserving the naturally present flavanols in the cacao bean without compromising on the taste. We have developed organic certified ChocoNat Acti-Cacao™, a special process to preserve a maximum of flavanols present in the cacao bean. of the cacao bean, are retained to a maximum of 80% during the process of making chocolate. In the traditional productionprocess, a significant reduction of the amount of cacao flavanols occurs inevitably. Even more than 70% of the cacao flavanols are lost

The full process passes through several stages: from harvesting and processing of the cacao bean to the production of chocolate. As a result, it offers great health benefits. Special bean treatment The ChocoNat Acti-Cacao™ process starts with the cacao pods that are wild in the forest. Together with the cacao harvesters, we investigated ways of growing, harvesting and treating the beans in such a way that a maximum of cacao flavanols, taste and aromas, in the beans, are preserved. These are also maintained at every step throughout the entire process, from cacao beans to chocolate. The end result is a particularly effective product: ChocoNat™ cacao and chocolate.
